# おこして (Okoshite)

> おこして is an iPhone app for Japan that wakes train passengers before their station (乗り過ごし防止アラーム). One stop before the destination it rings “次で降ります” (next stop is yours), and “降りる駅です” (this is your stop) on arrival. It keeps working underground, where GPS is lost. Alarms use Apple's AlarmKit, so they ring on silent, in Focus and with the screen locked. A backup alarm is set for the estimated arrival time. Requires iOS 26 or later. Coming soon to the Japanese App Store: https://apps.apple.com/jp/app/%E3%81%8A%E3%81%93%E3%81%97%E3%81%A6-%E4%B9%97%E3%82%8A%E9%81%8E%E3%81%94%E3%81%97%E9%98%B2%E6%AD%A2%E3%82%A2%E3%83%A9%E3%83%BC%E3%83%A0/id6819357625

Key facts:
- Platform: iPhone, iOS 26+. Languages: Japanese, English. Store: Japan.
- Coverage: about 10,000 stations and 600+ lines nationwide (JR, private railways, subways), bundled on the device; works offline and in tunnels.
- Works in subways without GPS; on rapid/express trains the rider sets the number of stops.
- Price: all alarm features free; “おこして プラス” is a one-time purchase (no subscription) for unlimited saved routes.
- Privacy: no account, no ads, no tracking; location never leaves the iPhone. Usage and crash data go to Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics; no IDFA; can be turned off). Riders may opt in to share anonymous ride data (sensor readings, no location or identifiers).
- Not a guarantee of arrival; an aid against sleeping past one's stop.
- Station data: 国土数値情報（鉄道データ）, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), processed.
